The state has recently made some changes to its licensing procedures. You must now apply on line for a substitute certificate and license renewal. The website is http://www.doe.in.gov/educatorlicensing. This online application process is self-service and easy to use. There is a $15.00 fee for substitute certificates and must be paid by debit or credit card at the time your application is submitted.
All applicants applying for a substitute certificate will need to bring a copy of their license to the Superintendent’s office. You will then need to complete the schools paperwork to be eligible to sub. If you have any questions you may contact Vicki Griffith in the Superintendent’s office @ 812-665-3550, ext. 101.
