Totally Tubular "Try"-Athlon
"Friends of Shakamak in collaboration with Shakamak Schools and Greene Education Services is preparing for our 2nd Annual “Totally Tubular Try-athlon” scheduled for Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Shakamak State Park. The “Try-athlon” is a fun way to get families, churches, civic organizations, sports teams and businesses active while raising money for the American Cancer Society. This “Try-athlon” is not like most triathlons that focus on the skilled athlete. We have shortened the bike ride to a 3 mile ride, a .5 mile inner tube swim across the lake, and a 1.5 mile walk / run. The cost is $10 per person. The early registration deadline is July 20, 2012 (includes a t-shirt) and the final registration deadline is 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012. Registration packets may be picked up at Shakamak High School on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m
